Firefox using alot of memory, any remedy for this?

I like working with firefox but firefox is using between 6K~900MB of my computer memory... Can anyone help me how i can remedy this? Is this normal? The other platform uses way less than that...

(more like 9K at a point) then I shut down firefox and got it to 6000 :()

I have the same issue ,first it was with the DWM.exe file so i disabled fast startup but now firefox is at a constant 1gb+ with one tab open
