Firefox's X button that close tab in desktop versions is too small

It is something that really annoy me on the long run. I'm a compulsive tabs user, so having to point really precisely each time I need to close a tab takes longer than I think it should. I know I can use keyboard shorcuts to do so too, but I don't understand this absurd design cause it serve nothing good. As soon as you have a screen with high DPI, you are stuck with a so tiny X button that it's ridiculous. It is true in almost (maybe all) every high-DPI Firefox's native customization options.

I actually use the compact form of the tabs sidebar. Hovering over a tab's button makes the X button visible. But even if there's place to at least double its size easily, it is smaller than my mouse's cursor... I think it could be increase at about the quarter of the tab's icon without any problem.

You can put your cursor anywhere on a tab and press middle mouse button to close it, no need to aim for the X.

And for the majority who have no middle mouse button?

I don't mean this in an arrogant way, I'm just interested in where you got the info from that the majority of people don't have a middle mouse button.

For those users, my proposed solution won't work, since you need a middle mouse button for it.

Thanks, that's a nice solution. I still believe that increasing the size of the close button would have been nice due to the fact that it is already there and it would be useful to have it easier to use. But, I like using the middle mouse button to avoid the problem.
