Firefox iOS Opening All Links in New Tab - OS26 Beta

Since updating to iOS 26 (or a Firefox update - not sure) every link I open is opened in a new tab. Cannot find any setting to adjust this.

I’m having this same issue - I think it started happening with the Firefox update after iPadOS 26 that brought the updated UI. Every link I open spawns a new tab. And most frustratingly, if I’m in the rightmost tab when I click a link, the new tab open offscreen to the right, and I often think the link didn’t work until I recall that the new tab is probably hidden offscreen. 

I’m a big Firefox fan, but I may need to use another browser on iPad until this issue is addressed.

I have the same issue, and I didnt find any workaround. Its very annoying and open even a new tab when expanding a menu on site.
