after the last update (98) firefox added some realy BS feature... file types are no longer added by default... the first file is automaticaly downloaded/saved (or better said, a file save dialogue opens), then the user have to go to the downloads list, rightclick the file, and there select some option, that adds it to the settings/file types section and then "always select what to do" can be picked... sorry what user unfriendly bs is that???
before 98 when an unknown filetype was click in the web, firefox already opened the typical "choose what you want" dialogue and added the filetype to the settings, on its own!
since 3.6 firefox is going downhill, I only see how features are cut or made worse, not one good update came in the last 10 years.
