Downloading Firefox ESR updates for esoteric luddites

Making moves

Let's say you want to download an update of Firefox on an old computer or two, and internet access is very limited…(such is my case).
Recently, notification for Firefox update 115.18.0esr came to my desktop (iMac running High Sierra). So I agreed. It updated in the background and activated on a Firefox restart. Well and good, EXCEPT there was no progress bar telling me the amount of bandwidth used, and no .dmg file of the update to be had. I would prefer a .dmg file to transfer the same update to my equally-old laptop (and just-in-case for emergencies). To save bandwidth, I download such files (128 MB) at the local library.

BUT MOZILLA PAGES ARE NO HELP. At best, they offer Firefox 128.5esr which is far too modern for me. Even the download button on the System Requirements page for 115.18.0esr gives the same irrelevant result. And it doesn't tell you so. (You have to start the download before becoming aware that the useless file is being downloaded.) Mozilla ignores countless luddites like me, and does no credit to people doing the sterling work providing regular security updates for older systems (set to continue to March next year).

Luckily for luddites, GOOGLE (not Mozilla) points the way. Go to this link:
https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
This will point you to the appropriate platform, then the desired language with a link to download the file. (No system requirements lidted there, I’m afraid.)
Hope this saves someone some trouble.
