When dragging a Firefox tab out of a window on macOS, the UI animation is very bumpy: First the tab jumps back to the original window, then the tab disappears there and a new window appears approximately(!) at the place you aimed at with the mouse. Safari, Chrome and Edge manage this much better – and Firefox should be able to do the same in my opinion.
