ok so this might be a weird question for a Firefox forum but hear me out...
I manage a small team spread across a few different cities and we've been trying to figure out a sustainable way to track attendance and working hours remotely. We tried a couple of desktop apps but honestly the maintenance overhead was more trouble than it was worth, people forgetting to install updates, compatibility issues on different machines etc.
Someone suggested moving to a browser based employee attendance management system and it actually made a lot of sense at first. No installs, works on any machine, accessible from anywhere. We eventually started using Vertex HCM and the browser experience has been mostly smooth but I've noticed some inconsistencies specifically on Firefox compared to other browsers.
Session handling seems slightly different, occasional form submission delays, and one team member reported that the auto logout timing behaves differently on Firefox than on Chrome. Nothing catastrophic but enough to be mildly annoying when you're trying to get people to actually use the system consistently.
I'm guessing this is more about how the platform handles browser specific behavior than anything Firefox is doing wrong. But I'm curious whether anyone here has experience with browser based HR tools and Firefox specifically... do these kinds of inconsistencies usually come down to session management settings or something deeper in how the web app is built?
