I'm quite concerned with the amount of "recommended" and "sponsored" things that Firefox is now throwing in my face. I switched away from Chrome specifically because I was tired of being marketed to and being forced to see ads, and now it feels like every week I get automatically opted in to some new "recommended" feature without my consent. This is quite upsetting to me and I'm tired of having to go dig through a settings menu to turn off all these annoyances that keep getting added automatically
Why is Mozilla advertising Firefox to a user of Firefox? In a browser that claims to respect privacy, Mozilla violates my privacy. Why? I'm about to switch to Brave browser, which does NOT do that (or at least, not overtly).
Just a minute ago, I had to click on the settings gear of the Firefox Home Page to deactivate the "sponsored shortcuts". Are we seeing the end of Firefox as a browser option?
