browser updated without my say-so

I was in the middle of a chat to report a lost credit card, and this STUPID browser updated WITHOUT MY PERMISSION IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING!!! I am really tired of all the goof-ups that Firefox is having lately. It used to be a good browser, but this updating several times a month is getting ridiculous. When it closed this morning, it lost the tabs I had open and was working on as well as the credit card chat window!!! WTF, Mozilla...

Do you think they care? I cannot access my banking info with ff anymore it is always access denied so I open Edge (microsoft) browser and no problem with it. FF used to be a good browser but they cater to a few and the rest are out of the mix!
