Currently Firefox on iPadOS does not have a dedicated search dialog for bookmarks. When you open the bookmark dialog on iPad, you can navigate bookmark folders, but you can't search.
Supposedly you can enter a bookmark keyword in the address bar, but Firefox on iPad doesn't show a match in the result drop down list, even if bookmark search is enabled in settings.
Note that on iPad, unlike the desktop, you can't prefix an asterisk to bookmark keywords to indicate you are doing a bookmark search.
Apparently web search results are higher priority than bookmark search results, and the results drop down list is too short to show the bookmark search results at the bottom of the drop down list.
On iPad there is no search setting to prioritize bookmark search results over web search results. You can change search settings to exclude everything except bookmarks, and bookmark search works.
But I'm not going to put ip with a product that forces me to switch search settings between bookmarks and the web just to get bookmark search to work.
Firefox bookmark dialog on iPad needs a dedicated bookmark search dialog like Chrome.
I was going to switch to Firefox because it's the only browser left that supports a full-featured uBlock Origin, but not anymore. Too bad, because Firefox has a great breath and depth of browser extensions.
