Hello,
I'm maintaining a small userscript for several years now related to Twitch ads. I thought i saw somewhere Firefox 121 would include the implementation of the Picture in Picture API, but i must have been mistaken as it's not the case.
I searched a bit on the subject, but i couldn't find any useful information on the topic. Afaik, there's no public roadmap being maintained.
So here i am, asking if this API will be implemented any time soon, as Firefox is the last browser missing it :(. It'd improve my ability to hide ads. As i currently can't interact with the PiP player, hiding them is impossible there, only the mute part works.
Thanks in advance, and happy Holidays!
Edit: This question is deprecated, in my case at least, as all the PiP stuff can't be properly handled automatically from JavaScript. It requires human interactions which wouldn't work for the intended case of hiding temporarily the PiP player during an advertisement. I stripped the PiP handling code a while back due to it.

Hello,
+1, on Google Meet, we can't have the PIP of the meeting like we have on Chrome, which is very a great feature to follow a meeting as a background activity.
Thanks in advance.
