Hi Mozilla, Loving Firefox Nightly and ist Multiple Accounts, really looking forward to the Customizable avatars, maybe an option to resize them also, so we can fit more profiles on one page.
Anyway, can you tell me where the profiles are now? Used to be in Appdata Roaming Mozilla Firefox.
There are profiles there, but if I try to back them up and sync them with other PCs on my network, it doesn't work. Is there something else I need to sync? Thanks

You want the "Root directory" of the profile mentioned in `about:profiles`.
Longer term, some of the profile data might become encrypted with a device-specific key such that this transfer will not guarantee to work in the future.
If you intend to use Firefox on both of the devices in the future, I'd personally recommend setting up a Firefox account and syncing between these devices. Sync has been designed such that nobody, not even us, can read your data. Everything is encrypted and decrypted on your own devices. (There's a blog post at https://hacks.mozilla.org/2018/11/firefox-sync-privacy/ that has technical details).
Hope that helps 🙂

Firefox saves logins and passwords locally in a secure and encrypted format within your user profile directory
at
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
not in a separate file
firefox also synchronize them to Mozilla's servers if you have a Mozilla account and enabled your synchronization.
You can view them at firefox.exe/firefox after opening following url at firefox/firefox.exe:
Tools = settings = Privacy & Security = Saved passwords

You can find more information about the profiles by navigating a new tab to `about:profilemanager`.
If you want "under the hood" technical details, you'll find the path information in `about:profiles`.

Hi There Guys,
Here be the problem, about:profiles, local and roaming seem to be the only folders that handle the profiles.
So if I copy both of those folders completely from one machine to another it you would think the profiles would work on the other machine, but they don't. Why is it so? Hmmmmmm.

I see, that makes perfect sense. I guess it must already be encrypted as I had synced both Mozilla directories from Local and Roaming to the other machine, but when we open there are no accounts there at all. I guess, I just have to make them all again on each machine. I was just being lazy, lol. Once the account is signed into all the browser data should sync so that is really all that matters. Thank for the input.
