I use FF portable for security and personal business on my machine ! along with a Win installed version on the system which run at the same time
The Win installed version is used just to cruz and post social media etc. Hence FF portable for security and personal business and FF regular install x64 Win for cruising
FF portable is unstable somehow via hanging and should not be affected by the regular install but somewhere it is because I always need to fire up FF portable 1st else it won't run and the message is you have another instance running close and restart.
When I close them both and open ff portable 1st they both run at the same time. This worked great until about 5 versions ago
The Win 64 version is stable and unaffected when the FF portable crashes or hangs I can barely run FF portable even by it's self somewhere I believe it is writing a error file to windows and creating a large error file on the system when that should not be.
There should e a switch in ff Portable to handle this !
Thanks for any help perhaps this should be new model to incorporate into FF portable sensitive things like paying bills personal Emails bookmarks etc to separate those concerns and still cruz in a FF portable environment

Sorry that Firefox is crashing for you.
"Portable Firefox" is not an official version of Firefox by Mozilla. These "portable" builds are known to patch around our internal APIs. When they do so, they have to keep up with how we develop our software and align with latest changes. When they don't, Firefox crashes.
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do as this is not our piece of software.
As someone who works professionally on Firefox Security, I want to recommend you just switch to our official Firefox builds. I run the normal Mozilla Firefox with a piece of mind and without any kind of external patches or tweaks.
