The toggle to change accounts is actually not important, but after seeing that before the update on the home page you could change accounts and other email applications such as Gmail and Outlook could also do so, this feature should still be there.
I like to access email by tapping on widgets, and of course when it's night and the lights are off, it's really convenient to have a dark mode option or to default to the system.
