Hey @KimB! This is an important feature for add-on developers. Mozilla's web-ext CLI tool launches Firefox using CLI commands. More specifically, `web-ext` depends on `node-fx-runner`, which constructs the desired command to launch Firefox.
This has also been a common request in the Add-ons category of Mozilla Discourse. Currently 4 separate accounts have voiced support for this feature request in this thread.
