Not me realising I just made the same feature request for Thunderbird Mobile, which is effectively the same thing... Thanks for making this post!

Currently neither the K-9 App nor the Thunderbird App (on Android at least) offers S/MIME, only PGP.It would be super handy to have our certificates on there, for when we don't have access to a PC but urgently need to send information.
