I'd be interested to know how many people signed up for their mozilla forum accounts just to comment on this UX nightmare (I know that's the only reason I signed up).
The current behaviour is a usability nightmare. Especially when holding phone with one hand, and using thumb to scroll (there is a diagonal bias to that movement that often closes the tab).So +1 for a setting for this.(Just switched to Firefox from C...
