I found the solution. As of 131.0a1 you can enable the developer menu by tapping the Firefox logo in the about screen. Then under the new secret settings menu, uncheck enable navigation toolbar. This should be off by default until it doesn't interfer...
The new bar that is split to the bottom covers the find in page bar. I can't search pages anymore. Please, please give me a way to disable this terrible new bar.
