In version 148 and previous the search worked perfectly, quick and easy. Why on earth fix something that was not broken and make it worse. This change is just plain stupid.
Similar to SagoHime's solution. Select text in address bar then right click on it then click copy. Then go to the actual text that you wish to copy and then right click/copy should work. Not a permanent fix but works for me until Firefox is closed.
