All my tabs just vanished and can not be restore gone in a flash What did this?

It  is sad all my tabs are gone glad I safe some of my researh  in pocket  never know when this will happen but it does  it is something to have 20 tabs then all gone with no warning  Think is is browser maybe???// Not user.
