Users shouldn't have to jump through hoops or wait for updates to be able to turn off AI nonsense they didn't ask for and switched to Firefox specifically to get away from.
Nobody asked for AI features. People use Firefox specifically because it's one of the few browsers that still offers its users privacy and doesn't have AI shoved into it.
