Is this feature no longer supported and every search history now needs to be manually clicked on "Remove from history"?

I'm currently on firefox developer edition 140.0b6 and I noticed that dragging tabs all the way to the right wil move the tab back to the previous position unless it's moved until it touches the "Open a new tab" icon. I feel like this change makes it...
