why is it, just recently, I open 1 fire fox session and it takes 1.5 gig of memory, 4 sessons 2.4gig

it kills the system, enough to notice the mouse sporadically moving across the screen.  this just started happening a few releases ago.  Please fix this because i would HATE to start using another browser.
