Add more control over View>Density and include separate control for Folders and Messages panes. Compact density is too scrunched up in Messages and Default has to much space between Folders.

Permettre d'avoir une densité différente pour le panneau des dossiers et la fenêtre principale affichant la liste des mails.

Merci.

Allow to have a different density for the folders panel and the main window displaying the mail list. THANKS.

Definitely agree.  This is the reason I came to this forum.  'Too much space between folders' might not matter if you use a single email account but when you have 8 and use 'Default' density, you lose the overview of your email situation as you need to scroll down to see the other email accounts.

Bonne idée!

I had exactly the same thought as I like more spaced out Default setting for the mail panel, but would like the folder view to be compact so that I don't have to scroll down to get to the bottom folders.

There is even a (greyed out) "Compact view" option under App menu - View - Folders...

My eyesight is not perfect, I know, but the recent change makes it very difficult to use, with no barriers between the various sections smaller fonts. It had kept on getting better and was working very well, but I am not sure if I can keep using it with the eye strain that can't be avoided now.

Please do! My interface just updated, and now either my messages are all crammed together (compact) or, using default, it takes me forever to scroll through all of my folders!

Message pane header size

In inbox preview messages are too dense, options for changing density are not precise enough. It's clear that goal was to get more view. At the same time message pane header is huge with only three information: From, To and Subject. So, you need tweezer to click on message you want to open and in the same view there is a "football" field with no significant usage. Please, reduce message pane header size.

Make Density fine-tunable

For me Compact is a bit too tight but Default is too loose. It would be nice to be able to fine tune the density.

Improvement to Density settings.

In Thunderbird 115 Supernova it would be nice to have individual "Density" settings for the folder pane and the message pane.

What good is density setting if it is not scaled automatically with font size change? With each increment, the space between lines are decreasing to the point of no distance at all. The default font size is so ridiculously small that by the time you enlarge it to a proper size, the density setting becomes irrelevant for the UI looks as if density was set to compact.

Forgetting/neglecting to synchronize density with font size is the ultimate proof of the inept design team creating a divisive interface focusing on smarth phones ignoring PC users or visually impaired people. Shame on you. #Revert to 102
