I noticed that vertical tabs is finally coming and am currently using Firefox Nightly. A big thank you first of all for making this happen as it was the biggest blocker to coming back to firefox.

Similar to other browser deployments of vertical tabs, could you please have the width adjustable instead of fixed? Helps to see the name for quicker tab identification.

Thanks all for the feedback and help improving the Firefox experience!

Good news, this feature is being worked on.

Stay tuned here for more updates 😀

Yes. It's a great improvement, but width needs to be adjustable. Otherwise, letterboxing can lead to massive margins that could easily be avoided.

Its somewhat funny that the options sidebar for the vertical tab bar has the adjustment, but the element the user wants to shrink down, you can't.  But I understand it probably is much more complicated than this, since the element looks to be of a different type.

Count me in as grateful for the push in the direction, and it would be wonderful for the ability to adjust the width of this in future.

Thanks.

Hi folks,

You can now adjust the width of the vertical tabs all channels. Just make sure you update your Firefox release version to 135.

Here's a little demo of how it looks. We might still work on the target size, but hopefully, this will save y'all the trouble of always dealing with the same fixed width of your tabs.
