Vertical Tabs - Improvement of Expanded Interactions

I like to use the vertical tabs with "expand on hover", but the implementation right now feels a bit finicky at the moment.

The tabs collapse when the mouse is still on the sidebar. I believe that it should stay open even when the mouse is slightly over into the page. This would allow the re-sizing of the window without manually pinning the sidebar. Also, I find myself closing the tabs accidentally way more than I should.
