Thunderbird should offer to save events when clicking links to ics file

Indico RSS feed can be viewed as a webpage in Thunderbird and we have the ability to download .ics to add to calendar. Thunderbird directs links to .ics files to browser which then needs to be downloaded and opened with thunderbird and then deleted to save space.

It would be very convenient if thunderbird showed pop-ups for url ending with .ics to save them as event by itself/to open in browser.
