Thunderbird mobile stopped syncing all of my inboxes for over 24 hours with no error message or warning. The only symptom was that no new emails appeared.I eventually discovered that two of my accounts had silently logged out, but Thunderbird did not notify me. The only way to find this out was to manually go into each account’s settings → “Fetching mail” → “Incoming server” → “Next,” where I finally saw the login prompt.Because Thunderbird uses a unified inbox, the two logged‑out accounts prevented all accounts from syncing, even though the others were still valid. This resulted in Thunderbird appearing “verified” and “synced” while actually fetching nothing. This behavior can be especially problematic for users waiting on time‑sensitive or urgent emails, because Thunderbird provides no indication that anything is wrong
It would be extremely helpful if Thunderbird mobile displayed a clear pop‑up or banner when an account cannot authenticate, or when a sync attempt fails. Alternatively, when the user taps “Sync all accounts,” Thunderbird should check authentication status and notify the user if any account needs to be re‑logged in.Right now, the lack of any error message makes it very difficult for users to understand why their mail has stopped syncing.
