In noticed the updated Thunderbird Android webpage is highlighting that it can support multiple email accounts within TB Android/K-9. (an existing feature).

It would be super useful to also be able to MOVE emails between different email accounts, as opposed to the current restriction of only moving email within folders of the existing account.

I realize that it's trickier, but it sure would be very handy.

Thanks.

Looks like this is considered but there are some technical challenges: https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues/760#issuecomment-2578013481

The Thunderbird desktop app allows you to but K9 on my phone does not. I'd also like to be able to add new subfolders within the phone app.

As someone with multiple mail accounts who archives everything under one main account, this feature is (almost) the only reason I still regularly switch to Thunderbird Desktop for.  I.e: an essential feature.

As mentioned in other comments, I am using a single email account to store essential emails. This functionality on Android would be very useful and will avoid me to do so on the computer version.

Thanks in advance to consider this improvement.
