Thunderbird Add Notes to Emails Feature

I would really like to be able to add a note to my emails. As of right now I just leave them unread until they have been follow through with or are completed but being able to add notes would help me keep track so much better. Example notes: Already forwarded to the accountant. Waiting for P&L Report to attach. #thunderbird#

What we need is a good journaling product in addition to this.

Notes on letters

Good afternoon. I suggest adding a note to any incoming or outgoing email, such as in Excel, where you can make a note to any cell.

I'd like to be able to write a comment about why I saved a particular email. Those comments could display along with the other selected fields (perhaps not for the inbox folder). I'd mostly use it for newsletters where I'd point out such things as "Nice Information about this or that," or "follow-up next month and ask about..."

When saving an email from the inbox, you could have a drop-down that includes "Move to" and "Move to with Comment."

You can always put it in your desktop calendar located in the start menu. Open that firstbthen add your description.

I was about to suggest this feature too.

To help manage my browser bookmarks (several thousand), I discovered it is often very useful to prepend the bookmarks' titles with short notes.

Quick examples:

• « [todo: fix mistake line 42] Somecode.js »
• « [caution: bad user reviews] Frying pan - Amazon »
• « [<the ordered item…>] Order confirmation »
• « [see interesting point at 1h42] Some two-hour long YouTube video »

And so on. The examples are endless.

A similar feature would be equally useful for emails.
