Sync-able Firefox Profiles

It would be beneficial to have the capability for profiles to synchronize across multiple computers.

Specifically, I am interested in establishing distinct work, personal, and study/school profiles, each of which I would like to seamlessly synchronize across different instances of Firefox on various computers. This synchronization should include bookmarks, open tabs, browsing history, add-ons, and other relevant data.

Additionally, the inclusion of an option to opt out of synchronization would be highly appreciated, especially in situations where I prefer not to have my personal profile synchronized with my work computer.

All of these features should be accessible through a single Firefox account/login.

And it should be easy to switch between profiles.

And containerize them so they don't know about each other.

The new Profiles feature is great! 

It would be great if copying the existing profile was the default behavior. I've spend too much time re-customizing my new profile when I could have copied. But I'll accept user error on my part. 

Creating a new mozilla account for each profile seems very counter-intuitive for a few reasons. That introduces bloat on the user for 3x times the logins even if you have a password manager. Also, who has 3x the emails just laying around. While it might boost Firefox user metrics, it would also make the numbers less reliable since they are inflated. 

I understand there are technical reasons why this might be hard, but I will say the Profiles feature has been amazing for separating Work, Home, Volunteer project #1, and Volunteer project #2, while keeping them easily accessible.

Has this been resolved yet to a way that I can have each profile saved?  Is there an overall account that then saves each profile under it? So if I am only using my profile of my work account at this moment I do not have to worry about any changes as it is automatically saved in my Mozilla personal account which is the one that syncs? 

Would it be easier at this moment to use container tabs so I can have everything together? 

If that would be better at this moment, any ideas for how to lower the cpu use for the container I am not using at that time? Maybe I have just understood groups and containers incorrectly which led to the higher cpu use, and resulted in this question.  

Appreciate any insight you can give; I'm trying to get ready for the upcoming semester.

Make Profiles sync across Mozilla account

I love Firefox. I've been using it for centuries (yes, I'm really that old). I was rather confused about profiles because we're forced to create one and I assumed (incorrectly) they would sync between all my devices through my Mozilla account. So I cloned the existing one and named one "Work" and one "Home" and had the idea to delete "work" links from my bookmarks in the "Home" profile and vice-versa. Then when I signed in at home I would have the same experience. But it doesn't work that way. 

As it stands, I have no use for profiles. I would like to have the same experience between Work and Home and now I don't because Work has two profiles and Home is just a mishmash of what I always had at home. My phone I'm not as concerned about because I don't need all those links on it, but it would be nice if links synced between home and work and phone, but they don't seem to do so since profiles don't sync. It's all really confusing and could be fixed easily if we simply had the option to sync profiles.

When I fully switched to Firefox, profiles were to one thing i really missed from chrome. The new profile system is great and I use it to great extent. I've been using browser.profiles.sync.allow-danger-merge flag to use the same account on multiple profiles and I've had no issues so far. Obviously the profiles feature could use some improvements in a general sense, but the biggest thing I'm missing is to make said profiles sync across devices like they were on chrome. This would also require for the profiles to be tied to an account, so the danger merge thing would have to be addressed, but it would allow you to have profiles be just like in chrome. What I've done so far is use this flag:  enabling services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.uiCustomization.state to sync the ui state (extension layout in the top bar, etc.) and just copied the profile files so they're identical, but that is rather a lot of work. (Please also back up your browser ui customization state string if you enable the sync, otherwise you might lose all of what you customized.)
