The keyword field is a feature that I discovered recently and have used extensively at work.

I noticed it does not show up when creating bookmarks using the Star button, but it does when right-clicking the tab and selecting "Bookmark tab" option, and I think this is a design failure. That feature is very useful, and, while the "add bookmark" dialog needs to be improved and cleaned up, I think it is necessary to show this feature in both when saving a new bookmark.

Please fix this problem.

YES!

It would be AWESOME if we could just go ctrl+D to add a bookmark and then > alt+K to create a keyword.

@finhosoThat could be useful, but it's more important that the feature is discoverable. Key combinations are inherently non-discoverable. We use thousands of apps. I'm not in the business of memorizing yet another key combination for something like this. This is an auxiliary feature that is very useful but not the core of a web browser.

I did not realize that the keyword field would show up when creating a bookmark via right clicking the tab! That alone is very useful information. I have been creating it with the star and then going to the bookmark in the menu toolbar and right clicking to edit that, and then I would add keywords.

Just knowing the right click on tab 'trick' is good enough for me. I can sort of see how they want the star method to be less confusing or more simple for most users. Cheers to this post either way!

@Jamin Yes, another good reason: path dependent learning makes this discoverable only if a person violates their prior knowledge.
