When we are composing a message we see above it who is sending, but we only see it is our email address. And after we send the message we look in the sent folder and we see  indeed it's not just our email address who is the sender, it is also our name. Therefore why not show the same thing that we will see in the sent folder not only then but also while we are composing the email!

You just need to make a config change:

Go to TB menu > Account Settings > scroll down > click the 'Manage Identities' button

Edit the entry and make sure your name is in the 'Your Name' field.

My name is already there in those settings. I'm talking about what it looks like when I'm composing the message.

By the way I posted many things here on connect Mozilla, and nobody can see them. I tested in an incognito window. In fact I don't know how you guys replied to this. So that's why I've given up posting new things here.

You know what, I filled in this box to post a reply, but it said I wasn't logged in so I chose login, and when I came back my reply was thrown away. It really shouldn't let people think put things in the box if they aren't logged in yet.

As far as Mozilla Thunderbird goes, I was talking about what I see when I'm composing a message. Yes the fields in the settings are already filled in.
