It should be possible to assign a shortcut-key for the built-in translator in Firefox for desktop. in the same way add an option to the contextual menu as happens in chrome or edge (and if God wants to give the possibility to sooner or later reduce that cumbersome contextual menu of elements that, at least for me, I have never used in my life)

obviously there shouldn't be two different buttons to translate and show the original page but only one that alternates between the translated page and the original one similar to the "TWP - translate web pages" extension

The auto-detection feature doesn't show the translation button often enough in the address bar for my use, since I frequently want to use the feature on mixed-language pages. This shortcut key idea would make it easier for me to use translations on any page even when the auto-detection doesn't activate.

“Translate Page” is a browser-level command, but it is not exposed in the Alt/F10 Menu Bar and has no direct keyboard shortcut. As a result, keyboard-only users must navigate through the toolbar and the App Menu to reach it, which is not a simple or discoverable keyboard interaction.

Request to assign Firefox translation shortcuts

Please allow me to assign a keyboard shortcut to the Firefox translation feature. I have been using Firefox in parallel since Safari support was recently discontinued. I have heard that Firefox is excellent for web browsing and privacy protection. It has a built-in translation tool, but since there is no shortcut available, I have to manually click it in each tab or use the "Always translate" option. However, for a foreign user, this "Always translate" feature can sometimes be inconvenient.

I would appreciate it if a shortcut could be assigned.

best ragards,
