i have switched from chrome since past 1 month and firefox is just better. the only thing i did not find easy is the option for having multiple profiles to be used at ease, could be better if there was one to easily access seperate profiles for work and home

The absent of an easy way to switch profiles on desktop (Windows, Linux, macOS, don't really care about mobile) is the only thing holding me back from switching to Firefox for a long time now. Due to the nature of my work, and I think this is the case for a lot of others too, using containers is very tedious and unsustainable.

This is definitely important for Firefox!

I would like to see where you can set up profiles one for work and another personal to keep things different. without setting up another account.

I'm glad to hear it's been marked as "In Review". Finally! 🙂

An easy way to manage and select profiles should have been implemented years ago, Firefox must have lost many users because of this, it's a shame. 😞

A big yes please to this idea!

Easy profile switching is the biggest thing stopping me from using firefox on all my devices. I would love to see this implemented so I can keep my school, work, and personal accounts separate.

This is necessary to offer a proper user experience. Right now, it seems too cumbersome for a normal person to create and switch a profile. It should be like the one in Chrome. Looking forward to see it in Firefox

The literal second this feature is released in FF I will ditch Chrome for good, this is really the only missing part of this, the dev tools are absolutely superb, the screenshot tool is otherworldly, and the added security of a privacy-respecting browser is very good to have, but it is such an impairing task to manually go on about:profile and setting your own, when chrome and the other chromium-based browsers make this so easy and intuitive

Hey, I found a workaround

Turns out, Firefox has already profiles in it, it's just ain't easy to access.

Just go to the address bar, and type about:profiles to create a new profile (different sync account, bookmarks, history, etc.)

Please I really need this, missing this feature is the only thing held me back from using Firefox

I've created a similar "idea" about guest mode, please upvote as well: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/add-guest-mode/idi-p/14684

If this was implemented, I would switch to Firefox in a heartbeat. Containers are good but I want separate histories. Also, the profile switcher extension creates 2 separate firefox icons on my dock for MacOS, which is weird.
