Status: New idea

I have just downloaded Firefox after a long absence. While the setup checklist is useful, I don't wish to bring across all my favourites or bookmarks from my previous browser, yet if I don't "Import from previous browser" the "Finish setup" message continues to sit there nagging me in the top right corner of the browser window. Is there a way to get rid of this message without importing from my previous browser?

Hello

Have you tried, right-click on item and Remove from Toolbar.1.png

No, does that work for you? I would try this myself but I'd have to install Firefox again on my new computer, that's a bridge too far for me at the moment!

My "FINISH SETUP" reminder continues to show..  I do not intend to finish it..  I have done what I need.  Can I get it to go away even with only partial SETUP done?

Same here. This is not the Firefox I used to know.

I did the right click + remove.  Is that going to prevent it from nagging me in the future?  That's not firefox-like behavior.

14/10/2026: -I had to clean install my device after it butched localized Smart Window, only to give my entire device to block any connection. Twice. So, stopped using "Smart Window" from Firefox Labs.

After first restore to FF, the above issue of no connection at all, so I clean installed my device.

Yes, this nagging "Finish setup" did bother me twice. It still does. Yes, constant after some time does return even if remove was chosen!

I have no clue what FF is thinking to nag us for bothersome "Finish setup".

BS: Not going to watch over this trivial issue, also, excellent advice, do not try "Smart Windows" from Firefox Labs, it will just ruin your device connectivity. Also I am not going to look for any replies, why bother.

This platform login also sucks.
