I can understand that Firefox is losing interest by most people who prefer Safari, Chrome or Edge. therefore Mozilla should focus on those users who still rely on Firefox in the first place. Instead of telling or asking the users who open firefox after a long time "It looks like you haven't started Firefox in a while. Do you want to clean it up for a fresh, like-new experience? And by the way, welcome back!" Mozilla should not be desperate looking for new users and dragging them to firefox but instead offer them a clean browser, always willing to help and working quite good. The mentioned message can be disabled by creating a browser.disableResetPrompt in about:config and set it to true but what about there is an option next to the repeating question you can click on saying "never show again".

Hmm, apparently it was already merged, but still is visible because of a bug in connect.
