Hello I noticed that when adding CalDav, new event, the Notify Attendees button is disabled and does not notify attendees about the new event.
Enable this option for both local or caldav. This will send the email of the commitment to accept. In the webmail cPanel has this option to send, including here in Thunderbird it would make it much easier
