It would be very nice if, in a Thunderbird installation with many email mailboxes including many IMAP folders, it were possible to perform a quick filter using this list for the Thunderbird GUI object, this "tree view" with the email mailboxes and email folders per mailbox.

1. Focus on the left navigation bar.

2. Press Ctrl+F to open a small text box with autocomplete. As you type, the view will reduce to the selected mailboxes.

Or you could place a small text box at the top of the list as a quick filter, and press Ctrl+F to focus it.

This is quite useful if you have a large number of mailboxes, allowing you to work faster and with greater focus.

To better illustrate what I mean, I've included a screenshot (from the software HeidiSQL, where I originally presented this feature ;-)).

I love it; it's so much faster when you have many databases and tables, simply being able to focus on the desired "topic."

A keyboard shortcut would be very helpful for navigation.heidisql quick searchheidisql quick search
