Remove share button in address bar

Make it easier to hide the share button in the address bar in Firefox on Android. Together with reader mode and the translate button (if available) there is almost no space left for the address itself. Moving all three buttons to the menu (or at least the share button) would help a lot.

Please make these buttons customizable. It is ridiculous how little space there is left in the address bar when all three icons (reader mode, translate, share) are shown.

There's absolutely zero reason to put the share button in the address bar, especially when it still exists in the menu. Leave it in the menu where it belongs, and instead allow the Home button to be changed to anything the user desires. Want the share button there anyway? Change the Home button to the share button. Want a different button instead? Do that then. Leave the choice up to the user. Rename it to something like the "Dynamic Button" or something. But adding useless clutter is not the vibe.

I hoped the update would remove or add the option to remove the annoying home button but instead there's now another icon I cannot remove. Why do Mozilla treat their users with such contempt 😕

Agree. The address bar is so bloated and instead of combining all of the buttons Mozilla actually add extra bloats on top of it ? This is pretty bad UI/UX decision.

Hope that this gets rolled back or, even better, we get to decide which buttons we want in the top bar. Here a screenshot that shows a home button, safe site icon, translate, reader AND share button. There's barely any space left for seeing the url or selecting the url bar.

I have a new design suggestion for these buttons which would be kind of unique than how other browsers do it, we can just have a button left to search bar which will have a default function which you can set, it can be home, translate, share, and reader mode, might as well include site info.

long holding will open a dropdown which will let you select the individual option and you swipe the button up and down which will sequentially switch the option, and ofcourse the icon will be what the current option it is set to

I want less buttons added on the next update, every time there's an update all I do is search for how to disable the new crap that clutters everything up. Add the ability to move all this off the address bar and into menus. Also want to disable the search engine icon in the bar, I just want addresses only in the bar FFS.

Please do this. The reading mode, share and translate buttons are more an annoyance that a feature.

+1 for the share button is a waste of space in the URL bar.  When it even made sense to use it was fine in the menu.

Ditto what others have said, I've also never used the home button (in favor of opening a new tab if anything), and rarely have had occasion for using Reader Mode.  But URL information is something I absolutely want to see and interact with often.

i do appreciate all other buttons being directly in the menu bar but i use Share so rarely that it should only be in the overflow menu.

my most often way of sharing a website is to hold the address and then a menu pops out where i press Copy.

to save even more space, maybe the reader and translate icons could be tightly bunched up. just doing that would cause two too‑small touch targets, so the Reader-Translate button would instead open a pop‑out menu with the Reader and Translate actions listed at proper touch target size

For God's sake, stop cramming the address bar with buttons, or show it in a separate row if you really, absolutely persist in displaying all the useless buttons constantly.
