Reduce the top bars

Why the need for three bars at the top of the screen, i would like to see it reduced to two, on my dell laptop, there is very little real estate left with three bars at the top, i really don't see a need for it, and it would be easy to reduce it to two bars, apart from that firefox is relatively good browser.

Right click on the toolbars and click customize toolbar. I only have an address bar and a tab bar.
