How is this not a thing on 2026? The grey is very annoying on Amoled devices.

Very happy to learn of this, @3duardo ! Edge holdout here keen to try move over to Firefox completely. The searing white page elements when browsing sites on my mobile OLED devices gives me eyestrain 😞 Bonkers that it took this long and glad that resources are finally being invested into this important QOL feature.

Will the new OLED design system eventually roll out to desktop as well?

Big thanks to @Kerim for taking the time to work on their own implementation of a dark theme for the community. Speaks volumes about your atttitude towards making the mobile experience better for everyone.

I personally prefer to wait for an officially supported and more secure implementation before making the switch 🙂
