Private tab instead of window

Functionality to open a tab for privat browsing within a normal window. For when you just need to do something in private mode, but don't won't to open a new window.

Private window, should still be an option.

Idea: It would be great to be able to have anonymous tabs instead of opening a new window, which is usually inconvinient.

Problem: I have my Firefox open and I want to open some page in an anonymous mode. At the moment I have to open a new window, and if I need to switch between my tabs - I have to switch between windows. It`s not convinient when you only need a single (or few) page to quickly load anonymously.

Solution: anonymous tabs are similar to a normal ones, except any page you are opening in those tabs will be opened just as if it was in an anonymous window. Also it should be purple to differ from ordinary tabs.

@JonThanks for replying, haven`t seen that thread. I think this thread can be deleted (I don`t know if I can do it myself) as I have come up with the exact same concept. Hope this idea will be implemented one day 😉

Please add this feature we be able open Private tabs near regular tab instead in new windows.

benefits :

- Better user interface

- More speed of execution

- Less use of hardware resources, due to no need to open a new instance

- Quick opening of URLS that do not need to be recorded in the history

It absolutely shouldn't be the default, but as an option I would love this. Switching between tabs is much more convenient than between windows in a lot of setups/workflows, and it would be nice to be able to see everything you're doing, in either mode, in one place.

Firefox already has a color scheme for Private mode; using that in a conspicuous way when a private tab is active would prevent mistaking which "mode" you're in with similar effectiveness to the colors and icons that currently mark a window as Private.

Agree, the functionality to have a private tab alongside normal tabs in one window would be a nice enhancement.
