How freakin' difficult would it be for the esteemed devs to add a provision in about:config to allow one to select one's own preferred progression option: 1, 2, 3, 4 ... or whatever?!?
Please!!!!!

STOP MOVING MY TABS!!!! I know I am not alone in this as every time you all move our tabs back up top there are tons of people ho prefer them on the bottom out here trying to fix your screwing of your users. I hate my tabs on top and am so sick and tired of having to waste my time finding a fix when you all could fix this really easy by giving us back the option in settings you all removed years ago!!!
Why not listen to users for a change on this topic as it comes up every time you break our browsers again and again and again!!!
Please Allow Users To Move Tabs Below the Bookmarks as We Once Could!
Once upon a time this was an option in firefox. You since removed it and periodically force users to search for a way to move them after an update forces them above the searchbar.... This is very annoying and getting repeated far too often!
I am searching now for how to fix this in the latest update (133)... What a waste of time!
If so many similar ideas have been merged itno this thread, when comes the time that you guys do realize that this is a much wanted option? Or do you think that we only ask for it to be a pain in the @Ss for the developers??
This option is available using CSS code and can be downloaded from Github.
FireFox profile Chrome modifications for menues ect. Create a folder in the profile called chrome Then create or add the file userChrome.css in that directory
/* Modify to change window drag space width */ /* Use tabs_on_bottom_menubar_on_top_patch.css if you have menubar permanently enabled and want it on top */ Any code you put in a file with .CSS extention will get executed when
That's not the point why should we have to go hunting down new CSS codes like I had to this morning every time Mozilla breaks the old code. They use to years ago just have a tick box to tick and put tabs on the bottom no reason this can not be brought back especially with how many people want it back and have since it was removed!
Well, for one thing, you can't satisfy everyone. I agree it should be an option. The last time I asked someone from GitHub I was told it is because they have enough trouble getting people to volunteer to maintain the code, unprocessed more important bugs that need to be worked on. So, want these things done, DONATE, so you can get the changes. I think if more people understood the work involved in maintaining this thing and the other projects like Thunderbird, Betterbird, and a few others. The more people that DONATE, the more work will get done. It's the old Kennedy saying. Ask not what Mozilla can do for you, but what you can do for Mozilla. Let's help them get AI in there so you can just talk to Firefox and tell it how you like it.
Oh my god, they've messed up the interface again. Great.
After updating last night, I started firefox today and didn't initially notice that my tabs had moved back to the top. They have lost their outline. I was clicking on bookmarks thinking I was changing tabs, not realising that I was actually navigating in my current tab with the bookmarks I was clicking on.
The sidebar, which I never really use and had hidden with a toggle, has become collapsible, so I've got a toolbar strip running down the left-hand side now too.
It's hideous. I will never get used to tabs on top. I'll have to go looking for another hack to make the interface look sensible again. Fed up with this.
Found I can reconfigure the sidebar to have hidden, with a toggle button to show it.
Why is there still no option to reconfigure tabs to put them where it's sensible!!!
