OK, you get the notification there is an update.
Like most sentient beings, you click on "What's New" prior to updating.
The screen that comes up proudly displays the current (OLD) version and lists some details.
This is completely counter-intuitive, It should display the NEW release and then show what it fixes.
Showing an old number is just confusing.

Yes, 100% agree, PLEASE fix that. At the very least, could you link "What's New" to the releases page (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/releases/) instead of the 'old' version. 

If you could also tell us the urgency of the update (e.g., security fix as opposed to other fixes/features), that would be fantanstic.
