Please add option to COMPLETELY forego the bookmark sidebar to GREATLY improve functionality

Hello, i am a lifelong (Literally since I was 3) user of firefox and I have had nothing but positive experiences so far! (Google chrome is poison) Anyways, I was just hoping you could add an option to COMPLETELY remove the bookmarks sidebar, as whenever I click CTRL to copy and paste it opens every single time and impedes every keyboard shortcut that uses the control button... In addition to this, I am now having a problem where it is SPAM opening and closing this sidebar like crazy, please fix this! Thanks so much for all the work you've put into this excellent browser, and I hope you consider my request.

That sounds like a bug or something on your system is configured in a rather uncommon way, maybe.
