I work with two-page PDFs daily and I want them to open with odd spreads and "Actual size."  I hate having to set every single PDF especially using two different drop-down selection menus.
I want to be able to set a default for what I do 99% of the time every day.
I use Firefox exclusively for PDF viewing.

Hey there! I poked around a little bit, and I think you can already do this by setting a pref:

1. go to about:config

2. search for "spreadMode" and you'll see one result, for "pdfjs.spreadModeOnLoad", which is set to -1 by default (see screenshot)

3. click the pencil icon to edit the value, then change it from -1 to 1, then click the little blue checkbox button to save the value

4. with this pref set, the PDF viewer should open PDFs in odd spread mode by default from now on.

Let me know if this helps!

Yes, that worked.  Thanks.

While I was in there, I found "pdfjs.defaultZoomValue" which I set to 100 (equivalent to "Actual size" menu option) so both my issues are solved.

Thanks again.

Probably there needs to be an "Advanced" support article on the PDF viewer so these features are easier to discover (the current article is a bit long already, but should link to the new one).
