I know this isn't a solution, but in case it helps for now:

You can capture a URL for a specific page in a PDF using the page thumbnails column. To copy or save the link, you can either:

  • right-click > Open Link in New Tab, then keep the tab open or bookmark the tab (or both)
  • right-click > Copy Link, then paste somewhere for safekeeping
  • right-click > Bookmark Link (this one doesn't create as useful a title)

I'd also like that firefox remembers the hidden and shown parts of the contents tree of the left frame.  It's easier to get an overview of chapters when the tree is partially collapsed instead of always maximally expanded.  Thanks.
