Notice icon for thunderbird to missed notifications

Would be nice if Thunderbird has the option to activate and deactivate a notification icon, so you could see a change (may be a number) for unread messages, that is if you missed a notification

The icon is to be at the toolbar of the desktop, so even you could close thunderbird, but it continues working at background and just could open with a click on the icon
