Need better search bar in Thunderbird to search in a message

I use the search bar a lot in Thunderbird and I cannot see the number of matches. 

The place to type in the search could be shorter and the number of matches could be on the right of the up ^ and down arrows. 

This would help a lot.

This is what I see with Thunderbird 102.6.1.  Note the number of matches on the right.

I meant that the only search bar I had was a miniature box next to the 6 icons at the top of the middle column of tBird, I think called the summary. I spent an hour or more trying to send you a screen shot, both using the camera icon above this 'Comment' area, and responding to you email (which bounced)

I now have an excellent LONG useable bar above the menu bar.
